Baker Hughes Rig Counts for April 2022

The Baker Hughes Rig Counts are a crucial indicator for the Oil & Gas/Drilling industry and all its stakeholders as the active rig count is a prime indicator for the demanded products needed for drilling & producing hydrocarbons. Here are the updated local and international oil rig counts for April 2022.

Egypt Oil Rig Count

27.00 for April 2022

Egypt Oil Rig Count (27.00 For April 2022)

The oil rig count for April in Egypt is 27.00. This represents a decrease from the count in March that stood at 30.00. However, this is an increase from April’s (2021) count by 28.57%.  

 

Egypt Offshore Rig Count

As for the offshore count in April, the current count stands at 9.00 which is an increase of 12.5% from last month’s count and a much more significant increase from last year’s count. In April 2021, Egypt’s offshore count was 4.00; this is an increase of 125%.

Worldwide Rig Count

When it comes to the international oil rig count, the USA has the highest count in the world with 36.8% in April. Next comes the Middle East and Asia Pacific with 17.7% and 12.1% respectively. In fourth place is Canada with 11.6%,  followed by Latin America with 9.7%. Finally, Europe comes in with a contribution of 6.8% and Africa with 5.3%. 

All in all, in the past four months, the worldwide total rig count has stayed above 1.6k. In January it was 1,632 then increased to 1,669 in February and then decreased slightly to 1,661 oil rigs in March. As for April, the total worldwide oil rig count has also decreased by 3.5% compared to the month of March.
